How to open a bank account? To open a bank account you will need to have three things: Passport Proof of address Letter from your employer Having those things just go to any bank get and fill application form and open account. It is more problematic if you do not have Proof of your address like a bill or statement. In this case you can try to open the account using some other methods. One of them is open Easy Cash Account at HALIFAX bank. Just go to any HALIFAX bank and for application form to apply for Easy Cash Account. You will have to fill the form and include copy of your passport (please note that the copy has to be made with copy machine not with scanner and printer). After that in 2-4 weeks time you will receive a letter from the bank with a card, asking you to come to any HALIFAX branch and activate it. Another bank that would sometimes open for you a basic bank account only with your passport is Abbey National and HSBC. Some banks can accept a letter from your employer sent to your address, so if you are working ask your agency or company to give the letter. Another way to get proof of address is to make Provisional Driving Licence which will help you in many situations when you will be asked for ID. It is a plastic card with you photo and your address – it will be your local ‘passport’. To get the card go to Post Office and ask for a form to apply for Provisional Driving Licence – D1. Fill the form, include £50 for the card, include your original passport (not copy) and send it through Post Office to DVLA. In 2-4 weeks you will receive a very useful proof of ID in the UK, which will be valid for 10 years! If you need bank account we can help! For £50 we will assist you with opening bank account just with your passport. 07802619020
